The Fields Project Fine Arts & Crafts Festival
Spend a day or two where money can’t buy everything; where the best of life is free—things like air so fresh it invigorates with the smell of it and the touch of it on your face. This is a place where ten cars in a row constitutes rush hour; where people are laid back and take time to find out where visitors are from and help them find their way around the area.
On the Sunday following Father’s Day, come to Oregon, IL where the Field’s Project Arts and Crafts Festival is experienced. Each visiting artist displays what they created during their inspirational week on the farm along with regional artists and sculptors. Make plans to visit the historic Oregon Library’s art gallery collection donated by the Lorado Taft Eagles Nest Art Colony. After visiting the library’s collection, take a walk along Oregon’s sculpture trail.
For those things that money CAN buy, purchase a bit of the country caught on canvas and in photographs and sculptures. Take an airplane ride to see the field sculptures. There are food concessions at the Fine Arts and Crafts Festival, or thereare plenty of restaurants in town.
The Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is located at Mix Park in Oregon, IL, along Rt. 2 south of Rt. 64.
Come to Ogle County where the scenery is so spectacular that artists have been coming here for over a 100 years to capture its essence on canvas, photos or in sculpture.
For plane ride reservations call 815-732-3324.
